Middle School Science Teachers Recognized
Three of our middle school teachers, Kristy Mishler, Lilian Meier, and Kayla Mintz, presented at the Science Education Council of Ohio (SECO) conference and were highlighted in the GrowNextGen newsletter for the unit they created on Soybeans.
They were awarded a grant from GrowNextGen and the Gahanna-Jefferson Education Foundation and used the funds to develop a life science unit for their students to study genetics by growing soybeans in the classroom. The science team also shared their complete plans for this 12-week project with other teachers across Ohio.
