U.S. Army Field Band Ambassadors Visit GLHS

Members of a U.S. Army band perform for students in a classroom, playing various brass and woodwind instruments while students with their own instruments watch from the front row.

Gahanna Lincoln High School recently had the incredible opportunity to welcome members of the United States Army Field Band's Jazz Ambassadors for an afternoon clinic session with our jazz band students. The Jazz Ambassadors were able to visit GLHS during their spring tour through Ohio.

Known as America's Big Band, the Jazz Ambassadors are the premier touring jazz orchestra of the United States Army. Formed in 1969, this 19-piece ensemble has been performing classic big band repertoire, patriotic selections, contemporary jazz works and original compositions by past and present members of the Jazz Ambasadors. The ensemble is widely recognized for its musical excellence and educational outreach efforts.
